Opportunity Knocks (OK) is a vibrant, non-profit organization seeking a dynamic Executive Director to lead our organization.  At the heart of OK, we support and strengthen our community by helping business owners, employees and entrepreneurs propel growth and career success. We need a creative leader who will align with our collaborative culture and continue to enhance it through positive leadership, strategic management, excellent communication, and strong organizational skills. Responsibilities:

As the Executive Director for OK, you’ll be the first touchpoint between our community members and the organization that can support them as they grow their business. Membership recruitment will be your primary gig, but you’ll not only find candidates, you’ll also place them on peer teams, ensuring a good fit with the other members and facilitators.

You’ll also lead communications, outreach and events for the organization and work with OK’s financial and admin contractors to coordinate contracts, bookkeeping and organizational records. You’ll report to the board chair and work closely with the board of directors, who will assist and support OK’s operational needs.

The Ideal Candidate:

You are a professional with 5+ years in leadership or management in the business or nonprofit sector and are comfortable working with a board of directors. You also work well with high levels of autonomy and are good at juggling multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. A bonus? You’re an innovative thinker who possesses the strategic savvy to strengthen and advance the organization.

Employment:

The Executive Director position is full-time, with some flexibility and irregular work hours, including some nights and weekends as necessary. Salary range is $45k – $55k.
