Meg Chun is the co-founder and current President of Bend Surf. Prior to launching Bend Surf in 2021, Meg was the CEO and co-founder of KIALOA Paddles where she held a myriad of leadership positions for over 20 years. At the end of 2018 she led the team successfully led the team through the sale of KIALOA Paddles to Werner Paddles.
Prior to living the life of a business owner, Meg spent the first 15 years of her career as a Special Education teacher. Today she blends the skills she acquired as a teacher with her business experience and also spends time consulting, coaching and mentoring others.
Meg is a member of the U.S. Bank Advisory Board, a legacy board member of the Oregon Outdoor Alliance, a board Member of Terra Frma and a co-facilitator of an Opportunity Knocks business group. She is a coach and an active racing member of Bend Oregon Outrigger Canoe Club.
Meg works and lives in Bend, Oregon with her husband Dave where she shares her passion for paddling and enjoys the many outdoor activities that Central Oregon has to offer.
I am the owner of the horse accessories brand, Broke Supply Company. We specialize in premium, rider oriented gear that enhances the trail experience. During my lifelong passion for horses, I observed that there is a noticeable opportunity in the marketplace for high end product fused with current lifestyle trends.
Ms. Uriel Fox is recently retired from a life long career as a registered dental hygienist. She practiced in California, Idaho, Canada, Washington, and Oregon where she also enjoyed the natural wonders that these areas offered in abundance. Ms. Fox is a Bend resident and is currently working on a project for mastectomy breast cancer survivors. She was inspired at the 2017 Bend Outdoor Worx pitch night to contact them about their business cohort for her start up company NEO'PROS, LLC.
Sara is the owner of DEI Creative, a brand and interactive agency and founder of Support Local, an online marketplace platform developed to support small businesses and build community. Utilizing the Support Local platform, Sara launched Bend Marketplace, a sales and marketing tool for local independent businesses and a one-stop resource for the Bend community.
Jordan Blossom is the Project Manager and second-in-command at Voilà Coffee. She manages wholesale accounts, marketing efforts, and customer service while also assisting in planning the production schedule and inventory. With previous marketing experience in a growing restaurant company and a degree in Economics & International Studies, from The University of Michigan, Jordan can problem-solve her way through any scenario.
I'm that crazy person that has a gazillion ideas and re-thinking things constantly! I co-founded Meli Wraps in 2016; a reusable beeswax food wrap business that I exited in 2020. I am excited to continue the entrepreneurship journey in the sustainable space with a new business - Happy Jack! We make dog treats from Upcycled ingredients as well as make and source other sustainable pet products. I am from Kauai, Hawaii but have been living in Bend for the past 4 years with my husband and 3 boys.
Ann Cook moved to Bend in 2002. Over the years she has been involved in the community in many ways: raising two boys, at Mt. Bachelor as an instructor and as the Group Sales Manager, at the DoubleTree Bend as the Director of Sales, and as a Group Fitness Instructor at Juniper Swim and Fitness. She graduated from both COCC and OSU Cascades and is an alumni of Leadership Bend. In 2019 and launched High Traverse Consulting and is working on a startup business.
I'm the owner of cdb System Design. I grew up mainly in the Bay Area, CA and found my home in Central Oregon twelve years ago. I love cats, books, words, numbers and organization. I decided to start a business that combined four of the five. The cats I reserve for down time.
