This team is made up of traded sector entrepreneurs focused on growth. These companies are out of the start up phase and are growing significantly. The team is comprised of two very small software companies (2 or less FTEs) and three growth-focused companies with 10+/- FTEs and large market potentials; the (b) group are all facing similar growth issues and are very open to mentoring to help them get to the next level.
Meeting time: 2nd Tuesday of the month from 7am to 10am
Preston’s early career was spent in sales, marketing, business development and management for Hewlett Packard, Advanced Micro Devices, and Price Waterhouse Management Consulting Services. After that, he made the transition to Silicon Valley startups in such roles as business development, product development and information technology. Today Preston is the CEO of Five Talent Software, a Bend-based company focused on custom websites, mobile apps and custom enterprise application development.
Ms. Yates has significant experience in tax, accounting and financial consulting for closely held businesses. She consults business owners and their families in business succession and estate planning matters. As a part of this work, she assists professionals and business owners in developing strategies to finance and capitalize their companies and develop purchase or sale strategies. She has also been called to provide expert testimony in areas of business accounting.
In addition to her work in public accounting, Ms. Yates has worked within businesses both as an accountant and as a financial officer. This experience provides her a deeper understanding of closely-held businesses and their needs.
Chris Kratsch is the founder of The Robert Axle Project. A bicycle component and accessory manufacturer producing solutions which inspire travelers, families and commuters to use their modern bikes for local adventures or trips around the world. His background is in account management, forecasting and sales experience in the outdoor industry with Metolius Climbing additional experience in manufacturing while at Outback Manufacturing.

Ashley Phelps founded ColorKitchen natural food colors in 2014, as an extension of her first business venture Glob Colors. Glob began as a line of natural paints and children’s art supplies in 2009 with the help of an Eileen Fisher Women-Owned Business Grant. Prior to entering into the world of entrepreneurship, Ashley worked as a graphic and web designer for over 15 years in the Bay Area, CA. Ashley’s background is in the visual arts.
Currently founder and CEO of Apptoto.com. Software engineer by trade (BS OSU '99, MSCS Stanford '01) and Yahoo! Alum. Previous startups include Xobni (Sold to Yahoo), RentAVM, SalesAction, Silvan Networks.
Went to college and received Business Management degree and a Minor in Economics from Western Michigan. Through college I worked at the schools IT help desk. After graduation I worked as a auditor/lodge manager at Timberline Lodge for a year before moving to Mt. Bachelor where I worked as a Inventory controller for 2.5 years. After my tenure at Mt Bachelor I went on to work at St. Charles Health System as System Analyst for the Supply Chain department. I have been working on Ripclear for 3 years, and have worked on several other startups on the side while working my Career.
Stacy is founder and CEO of Healthy Hoo Hoo, a line of fresh feminine care products. Healthy Hoo Hoo was founded in 2011, as of 2015 its largest distribution channel is Amazon.com. Stacy is passionate, high energy, creative, and has a knack for opportunities in the marketplace. Her sharp sense of humor (aka irreverence) is evidenced by the name of her rapidly growing business.
Garrett is the co-founder of July Nine, an Oregon based brand focusing on unique American made goods inspired by travel, snowboarding, engineering school and years in front of a sewing machine.
Shannon is CEO of Sudara, a Bend-based B Corporation with a “double bottom line”: i.e. they 1) manufacture lounge and nightwear in India and sell it online in the United States and 2) they employ Indian women as seamstresses; women who have escaped from, or are at the highest risk of, human trafficking. Sudara’s humanitarian mission is to provide dignified employment opportunities for women and girls in India. Shannon is a 2015 TEDxBend speaker and a mother of two.
Peter Wheary is the president of GreenLoop IT Solutions, an IT Managed Services company focused on bringing top notch, affordable computer network services and trusted technology planning to small and medium sized businesses in Oregon and Arizona.
