Team 14 members are owners and key employees in small to medium sized businesses.
Meeting time: Fourth Thursday of the month from 9am – 12pm
I have 20 years of experience in law (litigation and estate planning), sales, and running a business. Now, I am starting a business teaching personal finance, with an emphasis on understanding the true differences between assets and liabilities. My program Small Steps, Big Money teaches The Three Rules of Money.
Aly Waibel is the Executive Director of Opportunity Knocks. She works closely with the Board of Directors to oversee the strategic planning and operations of Opportunity Knocks. Aly received her PhD from the department of Teaching, Learning and Sociocultural Studies at the University of Arizona College of Education. She is the owner of Compassion Education.
Lindsey Pate, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Glass House Grown, studied biology at Sonoma State University and was recognized for many contributions as a student leader. Lindsey was awarded a National Science Foundation grant during her undergrad program to study invertebrate endocrinology at the University of Southeast Alaska. After graduating, Lindsey followed her passions as an Outdoor Leader with a focus on at-risk youth in the back country. Since making the transition to cannabis, she has become an active voice in the Oregon cannabis community: meeting with county planners, speaking at legislative public hearings to address the needs of cannabis producers and processors, and participating on the Marijuana Advisory Committee for Deschutes County.
I am a self taught technologist, focusing on the integration of technology in the workplace at Redhawk Network Security, LLC. My goal is to create easier acceptance of technology and it's necessity in the modern day workplace. Taking it a step further my hope is to provide exceptional technical support that people enjoy.
I am the owner of Inspired Elder Care. I grew up in California and got my start in sales in electronics. Working in high tech was fun and fast paced. I married in 1979 and moved to Oregon where my 3 children were born. I've lived in the Corvallis area, Portland area and now live in Bend. Sales served me well for the first 15-20 years of my career and I rose to a management level. I went back to school to study Horticulture and opened a native plant nursery. After an epiphany, I volunteered to work with elders. My love affair with older adults continues to this day. As a Geriatric Care Manager, I provide the guidance, support, advocacy and information to elders and their families when "life happens". With information and guidance I can help them through a transition and back to a new normal.
