Before coming to Sisters-Folk-Festival,-Inc. as Development Director, Steven served executive stints at Minnesota’s St. Paul Winter Carnival, Idaho’s Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival, and several of Oregon’s iconic festivals including da Vinci Days, Waterfront Blues Festival, Eugene Celebration and the Oregon Truffle Festival. He has taught event management as an adjunct faculty member for Arizona State University’s Hospitality and Tourism program, the University of Oregon’s Arts and Administration graduate program, and in the University of Idaho’s Lionel Hampton School of Music. He and his wife Kat, a Eugene native, have lived in Portland, Eugene, Corvallis, and Ashland and moved to Sisters in 2017.
