Ronald McDonald House Charities

Ronald McDonald House Charities provides a “home away from home” for families having to travel to Central Oregon for medical care for their sick or injured child. We serve families with a child under the age of 22 years old who is receiving medical care. That medical care might be a child in the hospital due to an injury or sickness, it might be a baby that is in the NeoNatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), a family traveling to Bend from a rural community for a doctor’s appointment, procedure or treatment. We also serve high risk pregnancy moms who need to be close to the hospital. In our beautiful lodge style home sitting right on the campus of St. Charles Medical Center, we provide “compassionate hospitality” to our families while they stay in our home. They have access to a fully stocked kitchen and pantry, laundry, entertainment room and play room, outdoor play area and volunteer programs and services including our Meals from the Heart program which provides home cooked meals for our family on a daily basis.
