It all started one Christmas Eve when our three-year-old nephew with nut allergies couldn’t have the cookies that grandma was offering to the family. It was at that moment that we realized no one should be left out of a family holiday celebration. We were inspired to start baking and serving food that our entire family could enjoy. And we were determined for our nephew to feel “normal” again.
Red Plate Foods was founded in 2013 in a tiny space attached to our home that was converted into a commercial kitchen.
