Manny Freitas is a seasoned technology business professional. His experience includes roles in senior leadership positions in hardware, software, operating systems, and computer networking product companies. Since moving to Bend in April 2016, Manny has joined EDCO, become an Opportunity Knocks mentor as well as a business advisor to Simbaware and ttMarketing, and has joined the Board of Opportunity Knocks.
With over two decades of observing, learning from and guiding a diverse set of medium to large companies in over 19 countries, Dean has always been fascinated by the positive effect purpose driven leadership and human transformation has had on employee engagement, business results and sustainable value for customers and communities. Dean is CEO of Mission Facilitators International, a boutique team-based development firm of highly skilled facilitators, executive coaches, instructional designers and trainers, who contribute their passion and creative perspectives to client opportunities.
Richard Lyon is the owner/CEO of Bend Commercial Glass, Central Oregon’s largest commercial glass contractor with 23 employees. He has been a member of Opportunity Knocks for two years. Richard purchased Bend Commercial Glass in 2013 after moving his family from Seattle, where he spent twenty years in commercial real estate development and was actively involved in the city’s architectural and design community. Richard holds an undergraduate degree from Ohio University and a master’s degree from the University of Washington in Real Estate and Urban Design.
Robert is President & Energy Efficiency Expert Green Savers. Green Savers is Central Oregon’s leading home performance contractor specializing in energy efficiency retrofits for the home. We are helping Central Oregon residents increase the energy efficiency, comfort and overall health of their homes. We offer a complete energy efficiency prescription and retrofit solution unique to each home’s challenges and areas of inefficiency. Green Savers professionals design a comprehensive plan to prioritize each homeowner’s needs and goals while increasing the home’s overall efficiency.
Jeremy is the President of Bloom Well, Inc. He is an experienced marketing and business development executive with strong creative and analytical tendencies, and a structured thinker who can manage projects with alacrity, and personnel with aplomb.
Sarah Lindsey is a Recruiting Specialist at BBSI. Sarah got her start in recruiting during the “dot com” boom in the late 90’s after earning her bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon. While she has a background in general HR, she is especially skilled at matching companies with the right talent. Her recruiting experience covers both agency and corporate environments and a very diverse range of industries from staff to executive-level roles. Sarah has served on various Employment/HR related boards in the community and is currently employed with BBSI, a human capital consulting firm that delivers expertise, guidance, and tactical support, enabling owners to run their business more effectively.
I started my career as a major account sale rep for IKON Office Solution in 1992. After our first child was born a decided to take the roll of a stay at home mother. In 2000 I received my spinning certification and taught spin classes till 2014. I also was the volunteer coordinator for the Cascade Cycling Classic, Leadman Triathlon, and the National Road Racing events for 5 years. I re-entered the work force in 2013 as a customer service rep for Hydro Flask. February of 2015 we purchased Minuteman Press. Although my husband and I own the business, I operate the day to day workings of Minuteman Press.
Ben Watson is a Business Client Advisor & Assistant Vice President for Summit Bank. Before moving to Bend, Ben was controller for a large metal manufacturer serving the commercial building and aerospace industries and CFO of a commercial irrigation company. He is a proud graduate of Kansas State University where he earned degrees in both Accounting and Business Management; he also holds MBA and MACC degrees from Friends University.
