Central Oregon Chapter
The Central Oregon chapter of Opportunity Knocks is headquartered in Bend, Oregon. This Chapter was founded in 1996 by Jim Schell who served as it's volunteer CEO for ten years and began with six Problem-Solving Teams comprised of 12 small business owners per team.
Susie Stevens is OK's Executive Director of the Central Oregon chapter, working with an eight member Board of Directors.
Today Central Oregon's chapter includes 22 Problem-Solving Teams meeting once a month. 42 OK-trained Facilitators volunteer their time and energy in order to create an environment for our approximately 235 team members to solve their business problems.
In addition to our trademark Problem-Solving services, OK's services also include an Education element, in the form of four Best Practices Seminars spaced over the year. OK also offers a Training service, in the form of a Baldrige Program: "Quest for Performance Excellence" that is scheduled to convene in September and a Management Training Workshop series for key employees.
Additional Central Oregon OK-sponsored events include the OK annual meeting in October, and the Lender's Roundtable in June. The Roundtable is sponsored with Economic Development of Central Oregon (EDCO).
