“All good things must come to an end”, we’re told, and once more that adage is proven as Susie Stevens moves on from her OK duties to the next phase of her life. Susie is leaving a solid imprint of enthusiasm, passion and caring upon OK’s culture, a legacy that those of us who continue to be involved must make sure we carry on.

Over the past 20 years, Susie has dedicated a significant portion of her life to helping OK “create an environment for its business members to succeed.” Achieving that environment within OK’s many and varied teams (at one stage in the early 2000’s OK had as many as 28 teams) has been Susie’s sole goal, and she has pursued it with determination, purpose and vigor. There is a reason that OK has been a major contributor to our region’s economy for the past 20 years, and that reason’s name is Susie Stevens.

Imagine the many insightful decisions that have been made over the past 20 years that would not have been made without an OK team behind it. Imagine all the business problems that have been solved that would not have been solved without an OK team behind it. Imagine all the visions that have evolved from idea to execution that would not have come to fruition without an OK team behind it. Imagine all that, and now you get an idea of the value that Susie and her focused passion has brought to our business community, as well as to the economic vitality, of our region.

So, on behalf of all of us who have worked with Susie as well as those of us who have benefited from the power of OK’s peer advisory board model; thank you Susie Stevens. We wish you well in whatever comes next and hope that you continue to be tangentially involved as an OK facilitator, advisor, and friend for as long as works for you. OK wouldn’t be OK without you!
